![]() Lets face it, the iPhone was never going to be known for it's phenomenal battery life. Not that I am saying it is particularly bad but with all the toys on board, the huge bright screen and wifi the main culprits, you never leave it alone long enough to get a huge standby time. Soon after getting the iPhone I started looking out for accessories to enable charging on the go, here at Berble we are desperately wanting a combined holder/charger and FM transmitter but nothing has been released in the UK yet. In the meantime a power only solution will suffice and the GRIFFIN POWERJOLT seems to fit the bill nicely, with a couple of added benefits thrown in for good measure. One of the cables fits all iPods and iPhones with a universal connector, the other has a mini usb connector which should supply a charge to anything that uses mini usb. As an added bonus, both cables can be used to connect to a computer as a fully functioning charge/sync cable. ![]() A green LED lights up on the main unit when it is plugged into the socket, this turns to red when it is actually supplying charge to anything, it also houses a replaceable 2 Amp fuse which should protect the equipment from any surges. Not a great deal more to say really, it works as advertised, I tested it on an iPhone and also a bluetooth GPS using usb, both charged fine. All in all, a very useful item to keep in the glovebox.
