Support FAQ for Berble b-Tax iPhone App What is b-Tax? b-Tax is a handy native iPhone application for calculating sales tax . If you ever needed a quick way to work out how much an item costs with tax added or subtracted then this app is for you. For example, in the UK Sales Tax (Value Added Tax or VAT) is 15% on most items. A second rate of 5% is also in force for fuel and other items. Simply key in your amount and b-Tax will immediately show you what the value would be with tax or without and a single click changes rate bands too. What countries sales tax rates are supported? Currently b-Tax has rates built in for the USA, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands & India. How do I set my country? Just click on the flag at the right hand side of the screen. Select your county's flag by touching it. What if my country isn't included? Since v1.3 b-Tax has had a "Custom Country" which you can use for your own Country, State or Region meaning b-Tax can be used world-wide. I'm in the USA, How do I change States? Just select the US Flag and when you return to the main screen you will see a rotary control to select your state from. What if my local rates change? Rates for each country and state in b-Tax are editable so it's trivial to change them if required using Settings > b-Tax. How do I set my currency and number format? b-Tax automatically sets your country's currency and number formatting by using your device preferences - Settings > General > International > Region Format. Can I turn off the key click sound? Yes. You can switch the keyboard confirmation click sound off from the Settings > b-Tax What languages are supported Currently b-Tax is available in English and French.
