This little statistic caught the eye of us here at Berble.

Google have told the Financial Times that they get fifty times more searches through the iPhone than any other mobile handset.

We thought it was a mistake and made our engineers check the logs again

This really does go to show how much of an impact the iPhone has had on mobile internet access, the whole handset is geared around having network access all the time.

The flat rate data plans undoubtedly help in encouraging mobile use, lets hope this marks the beginning of the end for metered access.

Google are in fact predicting that mobile searches will overtake those from home internet connections in the near future.

If the trend continues and other handset manufacturers follow Apple’s lead in making web access easy, the number of mobile searches will overtake fixed internet searches within the next several years

It certainly indicates that the lack of 3G speed doesn't seem to be hampering it's usage.
